A delivery rider lost his P50,000 collection in a robbery hold-up incident in Barangay Talenceras, Tubigon town, Bohol on Monday at 9:10 p.m., July 25, 2022.

Pilarino Paparon Jr., 33, a delivery rider of J&T, from Barangay Baang, Catigbian, Bohol, was driving his Honda XRM motorcycle on his way to their office in Tubigon proper when two motorcycle-riding men blocked his way prompting him to stop, according to the Bohol Police Provincial Office (BPPO) in their investigation.

The backrider, who was wearing a jacket and short pants, approached Paparon, aimed a gun of undetermined caliber at him, and declared a holdup, it added.

The victim was even brought to a secluded place where his P50,000 collection and cell phone worth P14,000 were taken by the suspects, who then tied his both hands with a rope and abandoned him.

The suspects fled towards Tubigon proper.

The incident was only reported to the police when Paparon was able to free himself but the former failed to catch the suspect during a follow-up operation.

This is the ninth robbery incident in Bohol in a span of two weeks.

Last week, the BPPO also recorded eight robbery incidents in the province. (AYB, TPT)
