Earth Hour 2019 saves 3.6 MW power in Cebu

THE Visayan Electric Company, Inc. (Veco) recorded a total demand drop of 3.6 megawatts in its franchise area for the duration of Earth Hour 2019.

Veco, the second largest electric utility in the Philippines, serves the cities of Cebu, Mandaue, Talisay and Naga and the municipalities of Liloan, Consolacion, Minglanillla and San Fernando.

The total demand drop for Earth Hour for the past five years are as follows: 2.695 megawatts in 2018; 3.102 megawatts in 2017; 2.839 megawatts in 2016; 4.631 megawatts in 2015; and 3.025 megawatts in 2014.
