THE Cebu City Government will provide P5,000 financial assistance to the locally stranded individuals in the city.

Mayor Edgardo Labella announced it during the press conference with the Manila media on the morning of June 25, 2020.

“We will support them,” assured Labella.

Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Secretary Roy Cimatu, the overseer of the Interagency Task Force (IATF) in Cebu, said around 12,000 LSIs are still in Cebu City.

The Department of the Interior and Local Government Central Visayas has temporarily banned the travel of LSIs going to and from Cebu City since last week as the city is still under enhanced community quarantine. (JJL)
