Man shot dead in Sibonga internet cafe

A 19-YEAR-OLD man was shot dead while playing computer games inside an internet café in Barangay Abugon, Sibonga town, southern Cebu at 9 p.m. on Monday, May 29, 2023.

The victim was identified as Mark Ace Rama, a resident of the said place.

He was brought to a hospital in Carcar City where he was declared dead on arrival.

The gunman remain unidentified.

Police Staff Sergeant Bernard Otida of Sibonga Police Station said that the attacker, who was wearing short pants, striped sweatshirt, slippers and a bonnet entered the internet café and shot the victim in the back of the head.

The shooter fled after the incident.

A certain Laura Gempesao said an unidentified person, who acted strangely, bought cigarettes from her store.

Minutes after, she heard a gunshot.

According to Otida, they are still establishing the motive of the crime.

However, they received information that the victim did not have good relations with his neighbors. (GPL, TPT)
