P12.5M worth of shabu confiscated in drug bust in Minglanilla

A SUSPECTED drug pusher could be spending Christmas in jail after he was caught carrying more than P12 million worth of suspected shabu during a drug bust in Barangay Tungkil, Minglanilla town, Southern Cebu on Sunday night, December 5, 2021.

Operatives of the Minglanilla Police Station led by its chief, Police Major William Homoc, were able to arrest Eric Bacaresas Lapeña, 39, a resident of Sitio Mutra, Barangay Tisa in Cebu City, during the operation.

Confiscated from Lapeña were 1.875 kilograms of suspected shabu with an estimated value worth P12.7 million.

Lapeña is currently detailed at the town's police station and will set to be charged for illegal drug possession and selling. (Alan Tangcawan)
