Tell it to SunStar: Learning from Taipei

Sunnexdesk

MY HUSBAND and I just arrived from Taipei, Taiwan after a weeklong vacation there. Daily, we commuted by taxi to different interesting places.

During our stay there, I noticed that Taipei has three times more vehicles than Cebu City, but never did we experience any bumper-to-bumper traffic snarl there. We only stopped if there was a red light, but not once did we stop because of a traffic snarl.

Why can’t our traffic authorities go to Taipei and learn from them how they are doing things there and apply it in our cities? (Monita Lopez of Pusok, Lapu-Lapu City)
