Tell it to SunStar: Police violation

Niko Morallo

THE Cebu City Government recently clarified that sidewalk vendors will not be allowed to go back to three national roads: Colon St., Osmeña Blvd. and N. Bacalso Ave.

With that out of the way, what about the vehicles that continue to park on the sidewalks of Osmeña Blvd.?

Despite repeated calls to address the rampant illegal parking on both sides of the thoroughfare, authorities seemed to have overlooked this problem.

Is it because some of the violators are members of the Philippine National Police?

The sidewalk between Uytengsu St. and R.R. Landon St. is filled with parked vehicles, some of which are patrol cars or are owned by cops.
