THE hard-hitting Romero Duno is looking to score a huge upset over fast-rising American prospect Ryan Garcia on Sunday, Nov. 3, 2019 (PHL time), in one of the featured fights at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

“We are confident that we’ll score an upset tomorrow,” Duno’s manager and promoter JC Manangquil told SunStar Cebu.

Duno has been making waves in the US boxing scene with an impressive run.

Duno shocked the world in 2017 when he scored a huge second round knockout of promising Christian Gonzalez.

He won his next six straight fights in the US against Juan Pablo Sanchez, Yardley Armenta Cruz, Gilberto Gonzalez, Ezequiel Aviles, Juan Antonio Rodriguez and Ivan Delgado.

Garcia, on the other hand, has been nothing but impressive in his three-year boxing career.

The 21-year-old Garcia is coming off a second round stoppage over Jose Lopez on March 30, 2019. He was supposed to see action in September but his opponent pulled out.

Duno is currently rated No. 4 in the World Boxing Organization (WBO) and No. 15 in the World Boxing Council (WBC). Garcia, in the meantime, is No. 4 in the World Boxing Association, No. 6 in the WBO and No. 8 in the WBC.

Duno is 21-1 with 16 knockouts, while Garcia is 180 with 15 knockouts.

Duno and Garcia are fighting for the WBO, North American Boxing Association and WBC Silver lightweight titles. EKA
