Giuseppe, FundLife start girls league in DB Pasil

Sunnexdesk

GIRLS’ grassroots football isn’t as popular as its male counterparts here in Cebu and to increase awareness of girls’ football, Giuseppe FC and FundLife International kicked off the Community Football Girls League in Don Bosco Pasil.

“We want to give the girls the same opportunity,” said Rachel Genco of Giuseppe FC.

Four girls’ teams played against each other last Dec. 8- Guardian Strikers FC, Sisters of St. Mary School Girlstown, Abellana National School and a visiting Generation Amazing from Tacloban City.

FundLife International managing director Marko Kasic is calling on the Cebu football community and individuals who are interested to help out to give this fledgling project its much-needed support to make it flourish. EKA
