THE undermanned Scorpions overpowered the Hawks, 97-89, in the Elite Basketball Club Cebu Season 16 at the Visayan Glass gym in Barangay Guadalupe, Cebu City Sunday, November 10, 2019.

Talisay City standout Keaton Taburnal was an unstoppable force on offense as he tallied a whopping 41 points to go with two rebounds, four assists and two steals.

Paul Torrecampo added 21 while Kim Trigue and Germaine Guarisma put up 14 and 10 points, respectively.

The Scorpions’ win evened up their win-loss record at 2-2 while the Hawks dropped to 1-3 in spite getting 24 points from Cham Aldave and 23 from John Rodrigo. Jojo

Lanojan and James Truz contributed 18 and 17 points, respectively, as well for the Hawks.

The other game saw the Sharks tally a win over the Tigers without even breaking a sweat after the latter failed to show up with enough players to the game. (JNP)
