THE management of Rain or Shine has cracked the whip on its ace big man Beau Belga, suspending the veteran for six working days for his participation in an unsanctioned basketball game in the municipality of Carmen in northern Cebu.

Belga, along with current PBA players Cebuano JR Quiñahan, Jio Jalalon and Robert Bolick, were part of the Northball squad that competed in an exhibition game versus the Sirius Star Pilipinas team, which was composed of foreign players.

However, the game turned ugly in the fourth period, as a Sirius Star player was seen in a video circulating on social media exchanging punches with Quiñahan. Later on, Belga was also seen throwing the ball at the Sirius Star player that Quinahan was brawling with.

The incident was just part of a bizarre basketball weekend that also saw a free-for-all erupt between players after a game between the University of Cebu and the Cebu Institute of Technology-University in Moalboal in southwestern Cebu.
