LEADING food and grocery delivery app, foodpanda, inked a partnership with Davao region's leading grocery chain Choicemart by NCCC last January 27, 2021.

The partnership is geared toward championing local players in Davao Region while making grocery shopping more convenient to the market.

"When we thought of partnering with grocery chains, we really wanted it to be with local players in Davao and that's Choicemart," foodpanda Regional Sales Team Lead for Mindanao Thomas Justin Pamintuan said during the virtual press launch.

He added that from mainly offering restaurants and food services through their app, foodpanda now expands to groceries, pharmacies, and services via foodpanda shops.

NCCC Assistant Vice President for Marketing Melanie Bacala, for her part, said this partnership signals for a more aggressive approach of NCCC in providing convenience to their shoppers.

She said anyone can now conveniently order from their houses or offices to refill their pantry and order snacks for family bonding.

"It is time saving. You can now stay at home and order your household essentials," she added.

She emphasized that their foodpanda partnership is an addition to their existing delivery services.

"It's part of our omni channel strategy. We want to be more available to as many channels as possible to provide more convenience to our shoppers. Partnering foodpanda will allow us to target the existing foodpanda users," she said.

Bacala also encouraged shoppers to send their suggestions and recommendations on what other products Choicemart should list on foodpanda shops.
