Two skulls found in Kalibo Cathedral

TWO skulls and some bones were found at the construction site inside the compound of St. John the Baptist Kalibo Cathedral.

Fr. Jose Tudd Belandres of the Parish Team Ministry said the construction workers found the skulls on Monday, March 16, and he asked the construction workers to dig more to find its skeletons.

For several weeks already, construction workers started to dig the vacant lot near the old office of the Cathedral for the establishment of a new building. The said skull and bones which measures 18 inches length and 15 inches wide has no signs that it has been decently buried.

There were no piece of clothes found in the area that may identify the buried person.

“We already have coordinated this to the Philippine National Police. We will bring the remains to the cemetery and we will be providing a simple burial rites,” Fr. Belandres said in an interview.
