Northern Mindanao wage board sets wage consultations

THE Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) in Northern Mindanao is set to hold a series of wage consultations in the provinces within its jurisdiction.

In a social media post, the Northern Mindanao wage board announced the schedule of the wage consultations and is encouraging stakeholders to participate.

"Join us for a series of public wage consultations on the minimum wage adjustment for workers in the private sector and domestic workers," said RTWPB-Northern Mindanao.

First to hold wage consultations are Misamis Oriental and Camiguin with theirs set on October 16 at the Eastland Restaurant, Gingoog City.

Next in the schedule is Lanao del Norte on October 17 with theirs to be held online via Zoom.

Also set virtually via Zoom is the wage consultation for Misamis Occidental on November 6.

For Bukidnon, the wage consultation is set on November 28 at the People's Hall of the Malaybalay City Hall.

For those attending the activity in the provinces of Misamis Oriental and Camiguin, they are asked to register via https://forms.gle/R7u9GGhXpGDkwjcz8.

The last wage orders issued by the RTWPB-Northern Mindanao took effect in June 2022.

For workers in the private sector, Wage Order RX-21 set the minimum wage rate at P378 to P405.

Domestic workers had their minimum wage rate set at P3,500 to P4,000 via Wage Order RX-DW-03. (HDT/SunStar Philippines)
