4 PAL domestic flights cancelled (12:21 p.m.)

MANILA -- Four domestic flights of the country's flag carrier Philippine Airlines were cancelled Monday due to a dispute between the company and its pilots.

Cancelled were PR-147 and 148 (to and from Iloilo), and PR-135 and 136 (to and from Bacolod).

PAL started cancelling its flights on Saturday when 25 of its pilots resigned without prior notice.

The PAL management warned the pilots Monday of facing criminal and administrative charges if they will not return to work this week.

The airline maintained that the pilots violated their contracts with the company, putting the public in great inconvenience.

Two of the 25 pilots have so far complied with the PAL management's order. (Sunnex)
