UNHERALDED Fernie Ballano emerged champion in the Davao Tenpin Bowling Association (Datba) weekly qualifying tournament held at the NCCC Mall of Davao B3 Bowling Centre on Saturday evening.

Ballano rolled a total of 697 pins to defeat Paquito Santos and Oslec Garcia who settled for the second and third spot, respectively.

Santos hit a total of 661 pinfalls followed by Garcia who rolled 637 pinfalls.

The champion went home with P1,200, while Santos and Garcia got P700 and P500, respectively.

Ballano, thus, will join Billy Magdale, Roy Camilo Tan, Oslec Garcia and Dianne Galendez, who topped past qualifying meets, in the monthly finals. (RSA)
