Cebuanos take podium in 7-Eleven Run

CEBU'S runners made waves in the men’s and women’s 42-kilometer race of the 7-Eleven Run 2017 in Manila yesterday.

The reigning Cebu Marathon champion Rafael Pescos of Spectrum Runners Club took second place in the men’s All Filipino 42K category with unofficial time of 2 hours, 39 minutes and 26 seconds, finishing behind eventual champion Rafael Poliquit Jr.

Poliquit topped the race in 2:37:31. Cebu-based runner Azlan Pagay nabbed third place.

In the overall ranking, with foreign runners included, Poliquit ended third overall, while Pescos settled fourth place.

Lizane Abella, also a member of Spectrum Runners, finished second in the women’s All Filipino 42K.
