CORPUS Christi's varsity chess players in elementary and secondary levels will have a day-long tournament on Saturday at its high school cafeteria.

Veteran Palarong Pambansa campaigners Alyssa Ysaiah Jamaca and Jason Chezter Coquilla will lead the CCS woodpushers in an exciting "free-for-all" showdown with a selected few invited from other schools.

"Aduna lay pipila nga among gi-imbitahan kay ginagmay ra usab ang mga pa-premyo nga ilang mapa-abot courtesy of the players' parents," the CCS chess coordinator, said.

Practically all major schools in the city are now busy preparing for the 2010 Milo Little Olympics in the later part of July and the Shell Active Chess-Cagayan de Oro leg on Sept. 11-12. (LLS)
