City vet office robbed

THIEVES hit the Bacolod City Veterinary Office Thursday morning and took assorted items worth more than P6,000, the police said.

Audie Jalando-on, a utility worker at the City Veterinary Office located at Alunan-Corazon Avenue, Barangay 25, Bacolod City reported the theft to Police Station 1.

He stated that, at around 10 a.m. Thursday, he discovered that the steel trusses in the office were cut and carted off by unidentified persons.

Also missing were four pieces GI sheets worth P1,000 and the spare tire worth P1,200 of the office’s multicab service vehicle. The steel trusses were valued at P4,000.

On the other hand, Ria Tan, 34, of Purok 2, Barangay Granada, Bacolod City also lodged a theft complaint. She said that, while she was walking along the downtown area at around 3 p.m. of last Thursday, her bag was allegedly slashed and its contents were stolen. Among the missing contents of her bag are ATM cards, IDs and important documents. (Merlinda A. Pedrosa)
