Columbia, SOS-Sakya clinch titles

COLUMBIA FC and SOS-Sakya FC clinched titles in their respective divisions at the close of the Davao Football Association (DFA) Independence Day Football Festival that came to a close Sunday at the Tionko field here.

Columbia FC emerged champion in the the men's open after beating Philippine College of Technology (PCT)-Medvil FC, 2-0, in the finals while Dadiangas FC placed third after nipping Hooligans FC, 5-4, via penalty shootout.

In the distaff side, SOS-Sakya FC captured the title following a 1-0 win over Aguilas Dabaw FC. Punta del Sol FC, meanwhile, shutout Tambayan FC, 2-0, in their battle for third.

The certificates were awarded by DFA general secretary Erwin Protacio and Emil Yaranon of Motortrade.

The bootfest was supported by PCT, Medvil Farms Inc. Hyenas FC, GHT Water Refilling Station, Virginia Hotdog, Motortrade and the Bureau of Fire Protection.
