THE Davao City Social Services and Development Office (CSSDO) is updating the list of internally displaced persons (IDPs) from Marawi City.

CSSDO head Maria Luisa Bermudo said they are working on the updating of status of the 479 families being housed in the city.

"We are still working on the 479 data, we will note how many went home, we will have to coordinate with the DSWD because they are responsible for the after-care programs," she said.

She added that DSWD has already distributed financial assistance to IDPs and portion of the assistance was allotted for their return to Marawi.

"We still have to coordinate with the DSWD's plans, and we have to be clear with our roles and responsibilities as LGU," she added.

Currently, the City Government is providing food assistance for the IDPs while some of the IDPs were referred to the Department of Education and some were referred for medical assistance.

Bermudo said they have given the DSWD the copy of the number of IDPs now taking refuge within three different districts of the city for their reference.
