A SECURITY guard training school in Bacolod City is contemplating on filing charges for large scale estafa and falsification of documents against a syndicate responsible for collecting money for fake security guard licenses.

About 30 security guards detailed at the different offices under the Negros Occidental Provincial Capitol are among the victims.

Venchito Magalona, head of Capitol Security, said Tuesday the Capitol guards and other security guards paid from P1,800 to P3,500 each for a two-year security license package found to be fake.

Ferdinand Turbanos, assistant director of VMA Security Training Institute, identified the two culprits who collected the money from the security guards as Roberto Pongasi, head guard of Glimpco Security that deploys security guards at Lopue's San Sebastian, and Reynaldo Panuela, head guard of Star Shop in Paglaum Village, Bacolod City.

Turbanos said the name of VMA Security Training Institute, one of the accredited security training centers in Western Visayas, and the name of Cresenciano Palo, VMA Security training officer, was scanned in the opening and closing report submitted to the Philippine National Police headquarters of the PNP-Supervisory Office for Security and Investigation Agencies.

This is used by the syndicate bearing about 23 names of supposed security guards that were found to be fictitious names.
