Man shot dead in Alcantara, Cebu

A 47-YEAR-OLD man was shot dead at 3:30 p.m. Monday, March 5, in Barangay Poblacion, Alcantara, Cebu.

Police identified the fatality as Edgar Garol Gador, who succumbed to two gunshot wounds to the head.

The culprits, two men riding on a motorcycle, fled after the incident.

Investigation showed that Gador was driving his motorcycle with his wife Merlinda as his passenger before the attack.

They were on their way home to Barangay Tomonoy, Moalboal, Cebu after attending a hearing in Barili Regional Trial Court Branch 60.

Gador failed to notice the motorcycle-riding men tailing him. The back rider shot him several times when they reached Barangay Poblacion.

Gador's wife was spared by the assailants.

Gador was rushed to Badian District Hospital, but he did not reach the hospital alive. (KAL/SunStar Cebu)
