AT LEAST 10,000 people from all walks of life are set to participate in the "2nd Rotary Bike, Run/Walk" on Sunday.

The event, which aims to stop Tuberculosis (TB) in Zamboanga City, will have two starting points -- one at Paseo del Mar for runners and walkers, and the other at Rotary Swimming Pool in Pasonanca Park for bikers.

Runners and walkers will start running or walking at exactly 6:30 a.m., while bikers will start pedaling at exactly 7 a.m.

They will head to the finish line at Mayor Joaquin F. Enriquez, Jr. Memorial Sports Complex at R.T. Lim Boulevard.

Mayor Celso Lobregat will fire the starting gun at Paseo del Mar, while second district Congressman Erico Basilio Fabian will do the same at the Rotary Pool.

The event is open to the public and without age limit.

The event is a health initiative of the Rotary Clubs of Zamboanga City, Zamboanga Hermosa TB Council and Samsung.

All proceeds from the event will fund the STOP TB NOW awareness program of the Rotary Clubs in Zamboanga City. (Bong Garcia)
