CEBU CITY -- Senator Vicente "Tito" Sotto III visited the Police Regional Office-Central Visayas on Thursday, December 1, to congratulate the special awardees for the Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Month.

In his speech, he pointed out the four main concerns of the anti-drug campaign are enforcement, prosecution, rehabilitation, and prevention.

"The four major concerns in the holistic approach that it should be done to fight the problem on illegal drugs are there and that is enforcement, prosecution, rehabilitation, and prevention," he said.

The senator said the senators wanted to intensify the fight against drugs as the Senate plans to increase the budget for the campaign especially for rehabilitation.

"In the 2017 budget, we make sure that there is enough funding for our rehabilitation centers, there will [be] enough funding for prevention programs, there will be enough funding for prosecution," he said.
