A SUSPECTED drug personality was killed in a shootout with the police at 1:50 p.m. Friday, March 2, in Barangay Saavedra, Moalboal, Cebu.

Police identified the fatality as Ricky Cabag Sadagnot, who had been identified as a high level target in Cebu Province.

Sadagnot allegedly opened fire at the operatives serving an arrest warrant against him.

The police retaliated, hitting the suspect in the body. Seized from him were a .45 pistol loaded with five bullets.

An empty shell was also recovered in the place of incident. The operation was carried out by Moalboal Police Station, Provincial Mobile Force Company 2nd Manuever Platoon, Provincial Intelligence Branch and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Cebu South.

Sadagnot was brought by the operatives to Badian District Hospital, but he was declared dead on arrival by Dr. Rhona Paquera. (KAL/SunStar Cebu)
