Teenager loses cellphone to snatcher in Mandaue City

A TEENAGER who used a borrowed cellphone fell victim to a snatcher inside a jeepney on Plaridel St. in Barangay Cambaro, Mandaue City, Cebu, past 8 p.m. Saturday, November 4.

Police identified the victim as Louie Jay Magno, 18. The unidentified theft stole the cellphone worth P9,000 while the victim was chatting with a friend online.

Investigation showed Magno was with the cellphone's owner, Michael Cecilio, 21, inside the jeepney. They were on their way to Lapu-Lapu City from a mall in North Reclamation Area.

After the theft snatched the phone from Magno, he jumped off the jeepney and ran. Magno and his friend tried to chase the culprit, but they failed to catch him. (KAL)
