17 doctors deployed to 11 Pampanga hospitals

IN ACCORDANCE to the post-residency return service program of the Department of Health (DOH) 17 new doctors were deployed to 11 public hospitals of the province.

Among the 17, four are anaesthesiologists; five are pediatricians; and eight are internal medicine practitioners.

They underwent residency training at the Jose B. Lingad Memorial Regional Hospital (JBLMRH), led by Chief Dr. Monserrat Chichioco.

Vice-Governor Dennis Pineda, who sent off the medical practitioners, commended the intensive efforts of the national government to improve health services.

According to him, this added manpower to the 10 district hospitals and one provincial hospital will assure the maintenance of health services for Kapampangans.

He reminded the new doctors to exert "maximum tolerance" when it comes to patients.

Also attending the signing of the memorandum of agreement were DOH Regional Director Dr. Cesar Cassion, Provincial Board members, Provincial Administrator Andres Pangilinan, Jr., Provincial Health Officer Dr. Marcelo Jaochico, chiefs of hospitals and staff, and Dr. Alfonso Danac, among others.
