4th district towns sustain biggest hit from typhoons' onslaught

THE agriculture sector of Pampanga's fourth district towns sustained the biggest amount of damage from the recent onslaught of Typhoons Pepito and Quinta.

Based on the consolidated report of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, the municipality of San Luis posted the highest amount of damage at P40,060,200 worth of rice crops.

It was followed by Candaba town with P24,009,019.56 worth of rice crops and Apalit town with P20,513,280. San Simon reported a total of P1,346,560 damages.

The amount of damages from the four towns is more than half of the destruction sustained by the agriculture sector of Pampanga, which totals P89,710,661,56.

The affected municipalities also remain to experience flooding in some of their barangays as of Friday afternoon, October 30.
