FOURTH district congressional candidate Ricardo "Ric" Yabut on Thursday, December 27, visited various sectoral groups in Minalin town to distribute Christmas goods as well as to sit down with leaders and talk on issues in their respective sectors.

Yabut visited the public market vendors of Minalin Public Market to express his support for further development programs for the market community.

He said that there is a need to strengthen the commercial viability of the public market and bring in more commercial activity to the said area.

“What we need is a sustainable development program to further bring in commercial activity as well as improve the situation of the merchants,” Yabut added.

Yabut also visited the local tricycle drivers and operators of the town and promised to address the need for educational support of their children and dependents.

Yabut was a former three-term board member and consistently earned the highest number of votes during his provincial stint.

Yabut vowed to address the needs of various groups and sectors through legislation as well as lobby for more infrastructure and development projects for the district if elected.

He said that if given a chance to serve as fourth district representative, he will push for laws that would have impact on the working class, the youth, and the urban poor not just in his district but in the entire country.
