A THREE-YEAR-OLD girl was reportedly saved from drowning by police operatives on Tuesday afternoon, May 14, in Barangay Balaybay, Castillejos, Zambales.

A report reaching Camp Olivas, Pampanga, said a team from the 305th Maneuver Company-Regional Mobile Force Battalion 3 was able to resuscitate the victim, who drowned in a swimming pool.

The report said Zambales police immediately responded to a telephone call from one of the workers of JJB Resort located at said barangay about a drowning incident involving a 3-year-old girl.

Upon arrival at the resort, responding team saw the unconscious little girl lying at the side of the pool and Police Lieutenant Genesis Mangangat quickly administered basic life support (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) to the child. She regained consciousness and was immediately taken to the San Marcelino District Hospital for further medical attention.

The child, who was from Quezon City, was later transferred to James L Gordon Memorial Hospital. She is now in stable condition, according to a follow up conducted by the troops.

“This is another proof that indeed you can depend on your police especially during critical times. May this commendable act of our mobile force personnel send a message to everyone that you can count on your police at all times, we are here to serve and to protect, and we are all committed with that,” said Police Brigadier General Joel Napoleon Coronel, Police Regional Office (PRO)-Central Luzon director.
