MABALACAT CITY -- Mayor Crisostomo Garbo recently awarded a traffic aide for his honesty.

Garbo bestowed the award of recognition to Richard Ballesteros of the Mabalacat City Traffic Enforcement Group (MCTEG) for turning over a lost wallet.

The recognition rite was held in front of all the employees of the local government during Monday's flag-raising ceremony at the Mabalacat City Hall.

MCTEG Personnel Richard Ballesteros recovered a wallet containing valuable identity cards, credit cards and cash amounting to P7,000. during the course of his duty on January 7, 2021.

"Sana po ay tularan natin ang ginawang kabutihan ni Ballesteros. Siya po ay isang patunay na ang mga kawani ng Mabalacat City Government ay mahusay at tapat sa ginagampanang tungkulin," Garbo said.

Also during the commendation ceremony, Garbo ordered the immediate promotion of Ballesteros from Job Order status to a Casual employee. This will entitle Ballesteros to a salary hike and more government service incentives.

Aside from the certificate of recognition and immediate promotion, Ballesteros received an incentive of P5,000 from Mayor Garbo. City Administrator Atty. Emmanuel Ignacio who also heads the MCTEG also expressed his appreciation to Ballesteros.
