Local artists to hold free workshops in celebration of Heritage Month

Sunnexdesk

ARTISTS from Angeles City and the City of San Fernando have always been keen on organizing celebrations and commemoration that are mandated by law, such as the Indigenous Peoples’ Month and National Arts Month.

Every May, the different parts of the Philippine Archipelago celebrate the Heritage Month, pursuant to the Presidential Proclamation No. 439 s. 2003.

On May 17 and 18, local artists will celebrate the Heritage Month. There will be Art Workshops, Film Viewing and a Mini Concert, which will be free and open to the public. Aside from the said activities, the organizers would also like to promote environmental awareness as heritage does not simply mean the cultural gifts of ancestors, but the works of Mother Nature as well.
