THE local government of Masantol, Pampanga together with the local schools division are preparing for the possible reopening of face-to-face (F2F) classes soon.

Mayor Danilo Guintu on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, met with schools head in this town to discuss the necessary measures to be implemented once the conduct of in-person classes resumes.

“As of now, wala pang go-signal from DepEd (Department of Education) pero nagpeprepare na kami as early as now para masiguro ang safety ng teachers and students pagbalik nila sa eskwelahan,” the mayor said.

Aside from the local initiative, Guintu said they are also awaiting the official instructions and protocols from DepEd.

“Kung ano iyong ibababa pang guidelines from DepEd, susunod kami siyempre basta ang priority namin, safety ng bata at teachers,” he said.

According to the recent DepEd report, resumption and expansion of limited face-to-face classes in the region are seen in February.
