P32M legislative building to rise in San Fernando

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and local government here has started the construction of a new legislative building worth P32.5 million.

The building is a three-storey facility that will house the offices of the City Vice Mayor and the Sangguniang Panglungsod session hall.

It will rise on a 3,528 square meter lot inside the Heroes Hall compound.

The project include landscaping and parking spaces.

“This modern facility when completed will provide employees and members of the Sangguniang Panglungsod with a spacious work area and this type of infrastructure is essential for our local officials to effectively and efficiently perform their duties,” said DPWH Pampanga First District Engineering Office Assistant Chief Alfie Lejarde.

DPWH Pampanga First District Engineering Office Chief Almer Miranda stressed the need to complete the project as scheduled to assist local officials in providing their constituents better services.

The funding of the project came from the 2023 General Appropriations Act.

It is expected to be completed in July this year.
