PDEA, BoC seize P2-M ketamine

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO - More than P2-million worth of ketamine were seized in a controlled delivery operation conducted in Manila by authorities on Thursday night.

The suspected illegal drugs originated from Poland and arrived at the Port of Clark last May 14, 2023.

The compounds were concealed in a package which was declared as Rose Candle, authorities said.

The package underwent a series of tests which indicated the presence of illegal drugs.

The operating teams were able to apprehend the package’s claimant identified as Danilo De Guzman alias John Vincent Cruz, 23.

The operation was conducted by operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement (PDEA) Central Luzon, PDEA Clark Airport Interdiction Unit and Bureau of Customs Port of Clark.

The suspect was charged in court for violation of Section 4 (importation of dangerous drugs) of Republic Act 9165 will be filed against the arrested claimant.
