San Fernando active Covid-19 cases continue to rise

THE number of people with coronavirus infection in the City of San Fernando has reached a total of 71 as of August 5, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 119.

According to a bulletin from the City Information Office, most of the 71 active cases are in Barangays San Nicolas (17), San Isidro (eight), Juliana (eight) and Telebastagan (eight).

Other barangays with active cases include Alasas (two), Bulaon (one), Del Carmen (five), Del Pilar (six), Del Rosario (one), Dolores (three), Lara (one), Maimpis (one), Magliman (one), Pandaras (one), Panipuan (two), San Agustin (one), San Jose (three), San Juan (one) and Sto. Rosario (one).

Of the total 119 confirmed cases in the city, 47 have since recovered.

The city's recovery rate is currently at 39.50 percent, while its positivity rate is at six percent.

The city had recorded one coronavirus-related death since the start of Covid-19 pandemic.
