P50-milyones kontrabando nasakmit

NASAKMIT sa Bureau of Customs (BOC) Davao ang upat ka mga container vans nga dunay mga kontrabando nga nagkantidad og P50 milyones ang giablihan Biyernes, Mayo 25, sa pantalan sa Sasa, Davao City.

Si BOC commissioner Isidro Lapeña nagbutyag nga duha niini gikan sa shipments sa China ug dunay laing duha gikan sa Indonesia ug United States nga miabot sa Sasa Wharf ug sa Davao international Container Terminal.

"Customs authorities have intercepted in Sasa Wharf the shipments of Janrev Enterprises which is declared to contain plastic plates but was found to contain 401 cartons of Snowbear candy and 869 cartons of mosquito coil and the imports of Brazil Trading International found to contain apples mixed with 6,300 sacks of onions," ingon ni Lapeña.

Nakumpiska sab ang mga ukay-ukay, 275 kahon sa magic sugar ug 115 kahon sa mga lotion gikan sa shipment sa Mahmud Enterprises ug Kobesean Trading.

"We are alerting all agricultural products arriving at the port as per directive of the Commissioner. We are closely monitoring the imports of agricultural products to prevent the entry of smuggled products," ingon ni BoC-Davao District Collector Atty. Romalino Valdez.

Gipatawag na sa BoC ang mga enterprises nga nanag-iya sa maong mga kontrabando aron mapanubag sa kalapasan sa balaod.
