29-year-old man yields 'shabu' in Ormoc

A 29-YEAR-OLD man was arrested for alleged illegal drug activity in Ormoc City Thursday, July 2, 2020.

Police identified the suspect as Mark “Ongkoy” Aton, single, and a resident of the city.

He was caught in a buy-bust operation after he allegedly sold a one-piece heat-sealed plastic sachet containing suspected “shabu” in the amount of P500 to a policeman, who acted as poseur buyer at around 9 a.m. Thursday in Barangay District 29, Ormoc.

Confiscated from his possession and control were one P500 bill with serial number LW656396 marked money, two P100 bills, two heat-sealed plastic sachets containing suspected “shabu” with an estimated weight of .03 g/each and an estimated total Dangerous Drugs Board value of P480, cash amounting to P120, and one star transparent empty box containing “shabu” paraphernalia, police said in a report.

The operation was conducted by Ormoc City Police Station 1-Station Drug Enforcement Team led by Lieutenant Colonel Shevert Alvin Machete.

The arrested person and the confiscated items were brought to Police Station 1 for proper disposition. (SunStar Philippines)
