REVEREND Father Kim Margallo and his resident painter Ernesto Kardante launched a fundraising campaign by auctioning their original artworks to help build the first St. Josemaria Escriva Mission Station Church in Barangay 92-Apitong, Tacloban City.

Margallo, the mission priest in-charge and an artist himself, said interested art buyers and dealers can visit the church every Sunday at 10:30 a.m., 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. for any pre-order or commissioned oil paintings.

Once completed, the St. Josemaria Escriva Mission Station Church Church will also feature a Collumbary and Ossuary facility which will serve as a “dignified and cost-effective Catholic alternative to casket burial” not only in Tacloban but also in the entire Eastern Visayas region.

The facility will be located at the church’s basement to house bone casket and cremated remains of the dearly departed individuals.
