POLICE continued to investigate the death of a 26-year-old woman who was found with 37 stab wounds in Barangay Silanga, Catbalogan City, Samar over the weekend.

Marjie Monarba, with live-in partner, self-employed, and a resident of Barangay Silanga, was already half naked with a bloody face when she was found by a concerned citizen at the cliff portion of the road in the said barangay around 1 p.m. Saturday, August 21, 2021.

According to her live-in partner, the victim left their home around 4 a.m. Saturday to open their store in Catbalogan Public Market.

The family of the victim, however, noticed that Monarba was not in the store, prompting them to report the incident to the police station.

The family and the barangay officials have offered a P100,000 reward for those who can provide information about the suspect. (SunStar Philippines)
