4 drug watch suspects fall in anti-drug stings

POLICE operatives have arrested four drug watch listed suspects in separate anti-drug operations Wednesday, November 17, and Tuesday, November 16, in Zamboanga City.

Police Colonel Rexmel Reyes, Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) director, identified the arrested suspects as follows: Jimcris Moso; Al-kaner Ahadain, 37; Richard Gomez, 29; and, Judi Daplas, 44.

Reyes said Moso was arrested in possession of some P1,000 worth of suspected shabu, a coin purse, and marked money in an anti-drug operation by operatives of ZCPO’s Station 1 and City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) around 5:45 a.m. Wednesday, November 17, at Zone 3 in Lumbangan village, this city.

Reyes said Ahadain was arrested in an anti-drug operation by operatives of ZCPO’s Station 10 and CDEU around 11:35 p.m. Tuesday, November 16, at Love Drive Campo Islam village, Zamboanga City.

He said seized from Ahadain were some P8,160 worth of suspected shabu, marked money and boodle money.

Reyes said Gomes yielded some P3,400 worth of suspected shabu when arrested in a buy-bust operation around 6:05 p.m. Tuesday, November 16, by personnel of ZCPO Station 10 together with the CDEU operatives in Baliwasan village, Zamboanga City.

Some P13,600 worth of suspected shabu, a cigarette pack, and marked money were seized from Daplas when arrested in an anti-drug operation by operatives of ZCPO’s Station 5 around 3:15 p.m. Tuesday at Waray Drive, Divisoria village, according to Reyes.

Reyes said the suspects were detained while charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being readied against them. (SunStar Zamboanga)
