4 nabbed, P136,000 shabu seized

FOUR suspects, including top 10 priority target, were arrested while some P136,000 worth of illegal drugs and two firearms seized in separate anti-drug operations in the region, the police reported Sunday, March 19, 2023.

Police Brigadier General Neil Alinsañgan, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula director, identified the arrested suspects as Kristian Jan Acopiado Omamalin, 35; Hajar Asiddin, 41; Faujar Hossam Asiddin, 20; and, Madja Adjarani Rabani, 29.

Alinsañgan said that Omamalin, the top 10 priority target, was arrested in a buy-bust operation around 12:05 a.m. Saturday, March 18, at a school zone in Turno village, Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte.

He said seized from Omamalin were some five grams of suspected shabu packed in two heat-sealed plastic sachets worth P34,000.

The other three suspects were arrested in a search warrant operation around 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 18, in Sitio Panobegan, Balagonan village, Siocon, Zamboanga del Norte.

Alinsañgan said recovered from the three suspects were a KG9 and an M4 rifles with ammunition, and 15 grams of suspected shabu packed in nine heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets with P102,000.

He said the suspects were detained while charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be file against them. (SunStar Zamboanga)
