Anti-drug sting net 3 in Zamboanga City

THREE drug personalities were arrested by local police in separate anti-drug operations in Zamboanga City, an official said Monday, October 21.

Police Colonel Thomas Joseph Martir, Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) director, said that two of the three suspects were arrested in a drug bust around 12:30 a.m., Sunday, October 20, in Canelar Village.

They were identified as George Munar, 41, and Jude Espinosa, 20.

Recovered from the suspects were five heat-sealed plastic sachets containing suspected “shabu” (methamphetamine hydrochloride) worth P6,000 and the P200 marked money.

On the same day at 7:30 p.m., Martir said the third suspect was arrested in another drug bust at Sitio Pasay in San Roque Village.

The suspect was identified as Comradz Asula, 42.

Recovered from Azula’s possession were six heat-sealed plastic sachets containing suspected shabu worth P5,300 worth and the P300 marked money.

The police official said the suspects were detained and charges are set to be filed against them for violation of Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (SunStar Zamboanga)
