THE Ministry of Labor and Employment (Mole) in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (Barmm) distributed rice assistance to vulnerable and poor families amid the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) pandemic.

The Bureau of Public Information (BPI) in Barmm said that 250 families benefited from the assistance Tuesday, October 20, in Bagan village, Guindulungan, Maguindanao.

It said that each of the 250 families, who are also members of United Farmers Association, received eight kilos of rice.

The BPI-Barmm said the rice distribution was part of Barmm's effort to support the vulnerable communities and families in the region.

Nasser Solaiman Kaliman, Bagan village councilor, expressed his gratitude to Barmm Chief Minister Ahod Balawag Ebrahim and Mole Minister Romeo Sema for extending support to their communities.

The BPI-Barmm said that rice assistance was also given to 50 households in Malengen village, Libungan, North Cotabato. (SunStar Zamboanga)
